Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

IBS doesn't cause changes in bowel tissue or increase your risk of colorectal cancer, but it represents a change in function that can be debilitating to some patients. Recent studies indicate that most people who say they have IBS have never been evaluated by a physician for the condition, but have self diagnosed and are self medicating. Many believe their symptoms to be too “random” or they feel they can not express their situation well.
